A MECHANIC with more than 55 years of experience has discovered a cheap trick that will help your automatic transmission last longer.
Scotty Kilmer, with more than five million followers on social media, claims his hack could potentially save you thousands on repairs.

Scotty Kilmer explained, “Your automatic transmission is slipping. You should definitely see this. It’s really annoying when you’re on the road and you have to change gears.”
“Now there might be low fluid, so check that first, but if it’s not, sometimes that can fix the problem (Lucas Oil 10009 Transmission Fix).
“What you do is drain a liter out of the gearbox and put in a liter of the slip-fix.
“Then you have to drive it about 250 miles and pray that it works.”
“This Mazda, a remanufactured gearbox, is £2,500. If you want to prevent slippage in the first place, change the fluid every 50,000 miles.”
The video went viral on TikTok with more than 161,000 views and 292 comments.
