I’m a cleaning pro & I never shower away from home – there’s a common spot people always forget to clean, it’s so gross

A cleaning expert has revealed the disgusting reason she never showers outside.

Professional cleaner Alyssa claims she can’t stand showering around other people because there’s one spot where everyone forgets to clean her — and it’s really gross.

In a recent social media post, she wrote, “Some people call it OCD (which it could be) but I just want to feel good, OK!?”

Alyssa filmed herself using a sturdy brush to scrub the gaps between the tiles in a shower.

As she continued to work on the grout, brown dirt began to flow into the tub.

“A lot of people don’t understand why it feels so weird to shower in showers that aren’t mine, and this is why,” she said.

“That’s just an example, and before you get me, I get it: life is tough and people don’t want to deep clean their shower all the time.

“That’s why they hire me, because I make a living.”

Justifying her abhorrence of other showers, she explained, “But if it’s my own shower, and it’s in my new apartment building, I’ll clean it until I feel it’s even halfway okay.”

Alyssa has been cleaning people’s homes professionally for years and knows just about everything there is to know about dirt and grime and how to get rid of it.

Her advice is so popular that she has over half a million followers on TikTok and has blown our minds with wild hacks and gross places we’d never clean up.

In response to the gross video, one user admitted, “This gave me a stomach ache.”

A second replied: “I can’t stand showers with tiles in them. I just have the feeling that there are bacteria everywhere in the small crevices.”

And a third said: “Damn, I need to clean my shower.”

Alyssa isn’t the only one who gets annoyed by the dirt in the bathroom.

According to Deyan Dimitrov, CEO of Laundryheap, there are tons of stains that are teeming with bacteria — and we don’t even know anything about them.

If you have a bath mat, chances are you haven’t washed it since you bought it, and that means it’s full of bacteria.
