I’m a cleaning whizz and there are four spots people always forget to scrub – they’re probably filthy

From vacuuming the carpet to wiping down the mirrors, there are some obvious spots we all clean without even thinking about it.
However, according to one cleansing expert, there are four areas that people often forget to scrub their skin.
When was the last time you cleaned these areas?

“Without regular cleaning, your mattress can collect dust, sweat, and dead skin,” she says.
“Sprinkle on some baking soda, let it sit for a few hours, then vacuum — the baking soda breaks down acid and absorbs moisture or odor.”
Next come washing machines.
“Leave it empty, on the regular cycle, or run hot and use two cups of white vinegar instead of detergent,” she says.

“Vinegar can also act as a deodorant and fight mold.”
According to the cleaning guru, window screens are the third area people often forget to clean.
“Mix up a bowl of hot water and powdered dish soap, then dip a brush into the solution and scrub your screens,” she explains.
And the last area that often gets forgotten is your bath mat.
“Your bathmat is often damp and provides the ideal breeding ground for germs and bacteria,” she says.
“Don’t forget to toss it in the washing machine with one of our laundry trays every two weeks – Oxy helps if it’s white too.”
Then she goes on to ask, “What else are we missing?”
The cleaning pro captioned the post, “Most of you said closets and around the fridge, but what about those four spots?”
The post has since gone viral, garnering a whopping 563,000 views and multiple comments from social media users.
“I can barely clean the spots I don’t forget,” joked one.
A second wrote: “I would never wash my window screens haha.”
Elsewhere, others were quick to share the areas they always forget to give a deep scrub.
“The dryer machine filter also gets very dirty,” one noted.
A second gushed: “Nice tips!”

A third commented: “Dishwasher filter. Until recently, I wasn’t even aware that something like this existed.”
Another added: “Doors, light buttons.”
