THE holidays are stressful anyway and the last thing on your mind is spending hours scrubbing your kitchen.
Luckily, a cleaning talent shared three simple hacks that will brighten up your room in no time—and they only cost pennies.
The mom, better known to her fans on social media as Washy Wash, offered a helping hand to fellow cleaning enthusiasts and took to Instagram to reveal some of her favorite tricks.
First, the Gloucester-based mum demonstrated how to get the hob frame clean and free of food debris.
To do this, as she showed in the video, all you have to do is wrap a piece of kitchen towel around a knife and pull it under all the cracks.
The knife will be able to go much deeper into areas that you would normally have a hard time reaching.
Washy Wash had also come up with an ingenious way to give your oven a makeover with… lemons.
To do this, simply cut two lemons in half and place them in an ovenproof bowl with a cup of water (making sure to cover the zesty fruit).
Then place in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.
The mixture was said to work wonders for fighting grease – the savvy mom dabbed a clean cloth into the zesty water and used it to make the oven glass sparkle like new.
Most recently, Washy Wash showed in the clip how to properly clean your sink that is so often clogged with food and oil.
After you manage to unscrew the basket strainer, use your favorite spray and wipe away all the food debris and nasty bacteria.

With more than 4.8 million views, the clip has taken the popular social media platform by storm.
Hundreds of Instagram fans flocked to the comments to thank the mom and share her top tips.
A cleaning friend claimed, “Lemon water is also great for microwaves.”
“Thanks for the oven cleaning tips,” exclaimed a second.
However, not everyone was impressed – someone warned to be careful with the sink hack.
“Can we all agree to stop recommending unscrewing the kitchen sink?
“That bolt is the only thing holding the tubes in place, and if cleaned improperly, the lower section can easily fall off, or at least leak through a broken seal.”
Another urged to be extra careful: “Watch the rim of the sink drain when you pull that thing out. I cut my finger badly trying to clean it.”
