I’m a cowgirl – people are shocked when I tell how I ride a horse bareback but it makes complete sense

A COWGIRL’s joke about bareback riding has a few horse lovers ready for a duel on TikTok.

In the clip, Kate Janicki can be seen making her horse trot in a ridiculous manner.

Although she rides bareback in the video, Janicki decided to leave the leather seat on and ride the mare’s hindquarters instead.

“If you sit here, the horse’s back hurts,” she said, pointing to the saddle and the center of the horse’s back, where riders should sit.

“Here you put weight on the horse’s butt, which is much stronger.”

Janicki’s filmmaker agreed – jokingly.

“It makes perfect sense,” she said. “So the saddle definitely goes on her back.”

The cowgirls drove the joke home with their caption.

“That’s right, we researched it,” it said, followed by several hashtags including “#science.”

Janicki got a little kickback for her joke.

“Every rider knows you’re not allowed to sit there,” said one commentator.

“Please don’t show children a bad example. They don’t know horse anatomy yet.”

But most of Janicki’s commenters were supportive and found the clip funny.

“I love that nobody can understand a joke,” said one.

“Sometimes I wonder how people are so clueless,” said another.

The comments section became a haven for even more ridiculous horse jokes.

“The seating area is where you keep your milk and cookies while you drive,” said another.

Janicki spends a lot of time on her ranch in California.
