I’m a gardening pro – my Home Depot hack will extend the summer season in your yard during fall

A gardening pro has revealed his clever trick that will extend your garden’s summer growing season into autumn.
At the heart of his idea was a Home Depot Item that was perfect for the job and inexpensive too.
His tip was also super simple and required minimal craftsmanship.
The brains behind the idea was Mind & Soil (@mindandsoil).
He has a huge fan base of over 220,000.
This green-fingered man is passionate about the benefits of growing your own food.

“It’s like therapy, but at the end you get vegetables,” he said.
But the arrival of fall doesn’t mean the end of growing food, he said.
“This little garden chop is my favorite way to extend the season.”
He wanted to create a micro-greenhouse effect that was inexpensive and easy to use.
First he said go to the nearest hardware store and buy a clear tote bag.
When he got back home, he instructed the spectators to turn it upside down.
“Next, simply drill holes every six inches along the side to allow a little air circulation.
“Finally, tuck it over some of your smaller plants, like these basil babies.”
Voila! Perfect growing conditions under a plastic bag.
“The top keeps the rain out and the warm air in.
“Gives you a few more valuable weeks of growth,” he concluded.
One commenter had another use for the bag.
“Pretty. Save the containers to use as compost bins later. They’re priceless.”
