Elle Bangs shared their list in a YouTube video

The hairstylist said she believes the industry has a problem with overconsumption of products.

She said, “I feel like we live in a time where a product is everything, everywhere you look, there’s something you have to buy.”

The first product Elle recommends people stop buying is expensive shampoos.

The hair professional explained that some shampoo brands are not consistent with their price.

She said, “When you’re paying that kind of money and the main reason it’s expensive is the packaging for the branding.”

The Next Pro Elle tells her clients that every style has its own hot tool.

She said: “I don’t think you need all that when you think about it. Salons usually come with a blow dryer and a curling iron, and basically I can create almost any style with these tools.”

Elle explained that you want to buy high-quality multi-purpose tools.

The barber says many hair oils won’t work for most people.

She said, “Oils that do nothing but coat the hair.”

“When you apply a hair oil to your hair to add shine and reduce frizz, you need a quality oil that will actually penetrate deep into the hair and heal it from the inside out.”

However, because many hair oil molecules are too big to penetrate, they just stay on top.

Elle recommends people stop using coconut oil and use argan oil instead.

The hair expert says you should never buy a styling product that’s just for styling.

She said: “When your hair is wet and you put on a volume product or a shine product.

“You want to make sure that this product is also a heat protectant. Because you’re already putting a product in the hair while the hair is damp, it’s important that it has at least two functions.”

This helps you protect your hair while styling it, but also helps you save money when you go to beauty salons.
