I’m a hot mess mama – the crossing guards criticize me during school drop-off every day but I don’t want to hear it

After hearing constant criticism from her child’s school, a mother has had enough.

The self-proclaimed “bad mom” said the comments don’t change who she is.

Chant Phan (@chantephan) is a working mom who often shares her humorous and personable parenting content on TikTok.

In one clipshe revealed her thoughts on the school dropout drama.

“Okay, if you’re one of those perfect moms who gets your kids to school perfectly and has these cute little lunchbox snacks that are all healthy and nutritious, then keep scrolling,” she began.

“This is for the bad moms. I take my little one to school every morning and every morning the border guards tell me I’m doing something wrong.”

She explained that she was being called while she was struggling to get her young child out of the car.

“They say, ‘Mom, you can’t stop here.’ And I’m like, ‘My kid is in preschool and he’s in a car seat, he can’t get out on his own.’

The next criticism is that she uses the “wrong door” to get her child out.

“I’m like, ‘Guys, I’m hopeless. I’m a hot mess mom who will do anything just to get her kids to school in the morning.

“‘There’s nothing you can do for me, so it doesn’t help if you chirp all my violations in the background.'”

She noted that guards can still teach her daughter as there is “hope for her” because she is so young – but not for Chante.

“No hope for me. That’s why I don’t want to hear about me screwing up the levy.”

What she is looking for is positive reinforcement.

“I want them to cheer when I actually throw successfully.”

Although Chante puts safety first and said she’s never had a safety issue in the car, she thinks the guards’ comments are too much.

“I can’t go on. I can’t get my daughter out of the car seat without stopping.

Though she said there was no hope for herself, she thought there might be hope for her little daughter
