Camille, who quit her job to settle in the UK, has remembered her favorite customer type.

In conversation with the Daily Star She said: “[My favourites were] those who came to chat and laugh with me at the hotel. A slightly older couple kept buying me drinks at the bar.

Camille revealed Thomas Cook staff are forbidden from drinking a pint of lager in uniform. But she said there was a way around company policy.

She said: “It was a rule that you were not allowed to drink a pint in Thomas Cook uniform, but you were allowed to drink half a pint if you bought it from a guest as it is a courtesy to accept; so they came over to my desk.” Lots of pints. I loved such guests.”

She fondly recalled her time in Mallorca working there. She said: “In Mallorca we had Thursday afternoons and Fridays off to do whatever we wanted: beach, water park, going out, midnight swim in the sea – everything!”

“There were also many perks such as the Alcudia and Magaluf guide card which gave free entry to the clubs and half price drinks, free entry to the water park and the pirate adventure. I was able to experience so much more Mallorca.” ”

She also remembered the uniforms and outfits she had to wear on party nights.

She said, “I loved the party night and the mini disco, even if I had to dress up in a hot, sweaty baby pom outfit.” [a character] every other week.

“We used to have to change in a pantry closet and it was so hot walking around in that outfit, kids would climb on me and cuddle me; they tried to hold my head while other employees jokingly tried to cut it off; that was it.” Such a laugh.

“I also enjoyed meeting new enthusiastic holidaymakers and giving my tour speech about the island on the transfer bus.”

She said in hindsight she wished she had worked a little longer as a representative in Mallorca.

She added: “In hindsight I would have done it longer but I’m so glad I did when I did. For anyone thinking about it: just do it! Keep an open mind, Repping will change you.”
