TikTok user @scottykilmerofficial says this hack can save you hundreds of pounds on repairs.

He comments on his video: “Make sure to use toothpaste, not gel, and wipe it all over.”

“Baking soda with baking soda works better, just like wiping it off makes your teeth start brushing.”

The mechanic then removes the toothpaste with a paper towel.

“See all the yellow dirt coming off the paper? Now you can rinse it off with water.”

“So your mom says brush your teeth, Scotty says brush your headlights too.”

The video went viral on social media, garnering more than 860,000 views and 686 comments.

Most users were blown away to find out that this product – which everyone has in their home – can make your headlights spotless.

The poster replied, “Thanks, that’s my goal.”

Another said: “I believe everything you say here based on your knowledge as a mechanic.”

A third pointed out, “I do this all the time and it works great.”
