But some commenters couldn’t understand why she wanted to go shopping without her family.

However, others came to her defense.

“I like this. Shopping with them is sometimes a nightmare and this solves the problem. Thank.”

There is a lot of interest in Lauren Clutter’s (@lauren.clutter) The post on TikTok, attracted more than 31,000 likes and many comments.

“Mom hack shopping for shoes when I get back to school,” she began videotapes.

All you need is a piece of paper, a pen and a pair of scissors.

Lauren explains the simple process.

“In addition to writing down your child’s shoe size, draw their footprints on a piece of paper.

“Then cut it out and take it shopping so you can do this without your kids.”

When in the store, Lauren holds the cutout on the bottom of the shoe “to make sure it’s the right size.”

That’s it, the job is completed without the fatigue or stress that often comes with shoe shopping trips.

It was a successful expedition for Lauren: “The kids’ shoes arrived today and they all fit.”

One commenter countered criticism of Lauren’s idea.

“If you don’t like the idea or want to go shopping with your kids, move on. Some mothers like to shop alone and some look for discounts when they are alone. Great idea.”

Another loved her tip: “This is genius mom.”

This retail employee said this method has also been applied by other parents.

“I worked in Rockport and honestly this happens more often than people think.”
