A mother (@photosparkstriad), the self-proclaimed “dreamer” and “realist” is definitely a realist when it comes to her children’s safety — and she doesn’t take any suffocation risks.

In a TikTok videotapesShe issued a warning to other parents.

“This is why we cut grapes and tomatoes into quarters for toddlers,” she begins.

The alert mother returned to the liquid-filled bottle with a full grape inside.

When she tilted the bottle completely upside down, the grape remained stuck in the neck of the bottle, even though the water tried to push it out.

She suggests that a toddler’s throat is about the same diameter as the neck of a bottle.

“[Grapes] blocking the airway exactly like this, even when just cut in half.”

She wanted to spread this message, asking her followers to send the video to anyone who cares about their little one.

“Especially for the older generations, because sometimes they think about cutting grapes and tomatoes into long pieces.”

Although many parents take similar precautions, making sure the food they serve is small enough for their children to safely swallow without chewing, she knows many people who judge and say that Mothers who do that are crazy.

“Never let anyone make you feel overbearing when this could be due to your baby’s air supply being cut off.”

Viewers agreed with her advice.

“Girl, my kids are six and four years old and I’m still picking grapes. Absolutely no popcorn,” one person wrote, noting that popcorn is another choking hazard.

Another quipped: “I saw my mother-in-law trying to give my 2-year-old whole grapes and I hit them out of her hand like a karate kid.”

When she turned the bottle upside down, the stuck grape prevented liquid or air from getting through.
