I’m a mortician – the reason you need to avoid a popular beach hack which mums love, it could save your little ones life

A mortician has slammed one mom’s dangerous beach baby tent hack.
The mortician, also known as the “creepy undertaker,” says the hack could cause your baby to drown without you knowing.
Lauren shared her view online in a TikTok video.
She said, “I’m a mortician. We talk about death and dying and child safety.”
Lauren revealed there were some issues with the baby beach tent hack.
She said: “Will I, Lauren, be using anything like this at the beach this summer? No, absolutely not.”
The main problem is that the hacker cannot detect when your baby is drowning.
She said: “I don’t like how cooped up the baby is in this tent. I know it has these little side panels so you can see inside.
“But I will preach this until the cows come home. The drowning happens very quickly and it’s silent.”
The undertaker explains that the hack is not like having your child at home in the bathtub.
She said: “Being at home and giving your kids a bath and a bath is something completely different. A different environment than being in a tent with your child on a very busy beach.”
“The area is much quieter. There’s the lip for them to grab. It’s a much more controlled space.”

Lauren added: “This looks pretty deep in here, doesn’t it? We have to make it deep for the kid. There’s nothing they can really hold on to if they’re stuck.”
“And I bet that surface is a little slippery, if not very slippery. Robust. It just makes me feel claustrophobic.”
The undertaker said there was an alternative if you were looking for something for your baby to play on the beach.
She said: “But now I want to show you something I would like to use in place of this tent. So that’s called a beach puddle.”
“So similar concept, but this is a lot more open air, you can see the kid fully.”
The beach puddle is much more baby friendly and you can see your child well.

Lauren said: “And a little baby isn’t cramped in such a small space. There are no walls blocking my view of the baby.”
“And what else I love about it is that you can be in that little pool with your kid if you want.”
