I’m a mum and I invented the best 7p hack for getting kids ready for early morning flights quickly

Known as “Muddle Through Mummy” on TikTok, the woman shared the clever trick just in time for the holiday season.

She begins the minute-long post by packing a suitcase and cheerfully telling her followers, “Good morning from the Netherlands.”

Then the mom holds up a stuffed sandwich bag and says, “I’m getting the boys ready and I just thought I’d show you guys this little thing I do because it makes getting ready in the morning so much easier.”

She holds the small plastic bag closer to the camera so viewers can see folded clothes with a name written on the front.

“So you see, I have these little sandwich bags,” she says.

“And that’s a full set of shorts, t-shirt, pants and socks.”

But this neat trick not only helps your kids get up and running quickly, it also has another insidious benefit.

“As long as the boys don’t tear them up, these bags can be reused on vacation for our lunches or toiletries we take to the pool so they don’t go to waste.”

The mom explains at the end of her helpful video that this “is definitely a good hack when traveling with kids.”

And not only is it versatile, but the entire hack can cost as little as pennies.

According to the Tesco website, a pack of 25 ziplock grocery bags costs just £1.85, so just 7p per bag.

After the post quickly garnered over 6,000 likes, several parents took to the mom’s comments section to give their thoughts on her nice tip.

One wrote: “Love this I bought one of these big bags and sandwich bags for this!! Save a lot of small suitcases when driving a car!!”

Another said: “I just made this for my 10 year old in a dorm!”

A third added: “That’s a brilliant idea!”

Another chimed in: “I think I need to do this for myself.”

This comes after a smart mom shared her top tips for traveling with her toddler on a long-haul flight.
