The best thing about this method is that you only have to pay 16p – and you probably already have the product in your closet.

TikToker @capricesmum runs a home help account that posts cleaning and organizing tips and parenting content.

Her sofa video has been viewed 5.6 million times and liked nearly 300,000 times.

The first step is to take off your sofa cushions and vacuum up any crumbs, hair or dirt.

Next, it’s as simple as putting a washing machine detergent capsule in a basin of boiling water and letting it dissolve.

Asda is selling delicate non-organic capsules at £3.25 for 20 tablets – which costs 16p each and affordable given the cost of living crisis.

Take a regular cloth and place a small fingernail brush or other type of bristle brush on it and wrap it around.

Wear gloves or marigolds and start scrubbing—results should show up almost immediately.

This super cheap and easy trick will relieve your sofa stress and remove stubborn stains – while still smelling fresh.

People were amazed at the lace but wanted to know how long it took to dry.

Caprice’s mother replied, “Not as long as you might think, actually, about two hours with the heating on.”

Others wondered if soap residue would be left behind: “It leaves no residue if you dilute the detergent capsule with warm water in a large enough basin,” she said.

“I did this on my couch this week and it worked SO SO well,” one girl commented.

Another person wrote, “I need that couch,” while a second agreed, “My brain needs this.”

“So satisfying,” another posted.

Other videos on her site include: cleaning the cutlery drawer, decluttering the playroom, cleaning the range hood, and flashing bathrooms.

Another content creator shared a similar process, but instead of using a scrubbing brush, she used a pot lid.

Mom-of-two Alicia Jo Vaughan simply dissolved a dishwasher tablet in some hot water and soaked a microfiber cloth in the liquid.

She then used this to wrap a pot lid and rub it over her sofa as well as other pieces of furniture that needed cleaning.

A hair tie could be tied around the handle of the pot lid to help hold the cloth in place.

Thousands of people turn to TikTok for life hacks and tips.

The cleaning prodigy, known as Purdy and Figg on TikTok, has revealed that cleaning is often at the bottom of many of our to-do lists, but it doesn’t always have to be a huge task.

A recent hack made a big impression on many, as the cleaning fan revealed a simple trick that makes dusting much faster.

The TikToker used a wet cloth to remove dust from the top of a toilet, but instead of getting rid of the dirt and dust mites, this method simply moves the dust around.

The social media user noted, “POV: You don’t dry dust before you clean, so you just push dust around.”

The cleaning fan then advised: “Switch to a dry microfiber cloth.

“Dry the dust before using ANY product!”
