In the caption of the clip, he writes: “An easy way to prevent birds from nesting in the corners of your house.”
John points out a drain in a covered corner outside a house.
TikToker explains: “If you have a problem with any of these bird nests, a lot of swallows, especially in Midwest robins, things like that are accumulating in your home.
“They really love the little corners where the gutters are,” says John, showing his followers a drain outside.
“So I can see this customer right here putting a little softball in the corner to stop [birds] from going up there,” he tells viewers.
John also suggests using specially designed spikes to prevent birds from building nests along your gutter.
He added: “I’ve seen people throw beer bottles, anything like that up there.
“Just throw in a little trick and it will save you some money,” says John.
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the matter.
“Those spikes don’t work. Our birds just build nests on them,” one viewer wrote.
