A professional housewife has shared her inexpensive cleaning solution that she uses to remove streaks on her closets.

Hire a Homemaker, a luxury home services company, has released a video warning against multipurpose cleaning sprays, which sound effective but end up leaving streaks on matte cabinets.

The woman in the video (@hireahomemaker) shared the cleaning tip with their TikTok followers.

She explained that with matte furniture, it can be a bit difficult to get things sparkling clean.

“Unfortunately, the worst thing you can do if you own matte furniture is treat it with multipurpose spray,” she said.

“Unfortunately, everything is on them, and because they’re in the kitchen most of the time, those grease stains are definitely showing.”

Luckily, the solution to getting rid of unwanted stains was not only simple, but also inexpensive.

“My best advice is to go in with hot water and dish soap in a spray bottle,” she revealed.

“The detergent dissolves grease and the hot water evaporates it faster, so there are no streaks.”
