An Australia-based cleaner, known online as “Jetlag Remedy,” took to social media to share her take on the homewares, which she’s not a fan of.
She previously revealed that she avoids silicone toilet brushes, hard-to-clean tiles, matte black sinks, and glass tables.
Now the cleaning lady has revealed four more items she would never have in her home. So if you’re thinking about getting a new leather sofa, you might want to reconsider.
Online publication in a current clip Just a week ago, the cleaner shared, “Four things I would NEVER put in my home as a professional cleaner, part two.”
She explained: “If you have these that’s totally fine, it’s just my opinion.
“First, we have mirrored furniture.
“For me, they’re the same as glass tables, only they’re so difficult to keep clean.
“You can see every single fingerprint and every single smudge.
“Not to mention, in mine Opinionthey are simply outdated.
“There’s the mid-2000s.
“Personally, just not for me.”
Nextthe cleaner shared her thoughts on blinds.
She added: “Coming in hot and coming in next Are those my goodness, blinds? [venetian blinds].
“Not only do they make me want to pour hot water in my eyes, they’re so awful to clean.
“They last so long that you have to complete each section individually, from top to bottom.
“They are just so painful.
“I have them in my rent and would do anything to remove them.”
Additionally, the cleaning expert explained that she also avoids vinyl floors and leather sofas, continuing, “Another personal no-no is vinyl floors.
“It makes me want to walk in front of a wall.
“Not only do they look awful, they’re so difficult to clean, they form so quickly and so quickly, and it shows.”
“And lastly, I’m looking at leather sofas, especially white ones. And especially those where you can’t remove the cushions to clean them.
“They’re just never clean.”
The TikTok clip posted under the username @jet lag remedywas only shared a week ago but apparently caused a lot of surprise for many as it quickly racked up 229,200 views.
However, social media users were divided over the cleaner’s clip – while some readily agreed, others could no longer disagree.
One person said: “Yes, the blinds!! Bain of my life.”
Another added: “I have a leather couch with attached cushions. I hate it so much!”
A third commented: “I have a cleaning business and agree with all four. Can I also install mirrored back walls in the kitchen?”
At the same time, someone else wrote: “I’m the opposite, I will ONLY have a leather couch, but in my opinion it’s the cleanest option.”
While another user claimed, “What, vinyl flooring? Worked as a cleaner for years. They are easy to clean.”
Meanwhile, another user shared, “Personally, I love glass tables. I paint a lot and the splatters scratch off so easily!”
