I’m a professional cleaner – five things I’d never have in my kitchen, a specific cabinet style hides so much dirt

A PROFESSIONAL household cleaner revealed five features she would never have in her own kitchen because they’re tedious.
In particular, there’s a certain style of closet that she said she wouldn’t own because it hides so much dirt.
Professional cleaner Alyssa (@alyssascleaningcompany) provides tips and tricks on how best to clean your home.
in one Tiktok videoshe revealed the five things she would never have in her house simply because she knows firsthand how difficult they are to clean.
The first item she discussed was copper sinks.
“Now they look beautiful the first time you install them, and if you want to clean them every day, that’s great,” she said.

She then showed viewers what the sink looked like over time, which was stained and discolored.
“It’s so hard to maintain and honestly it’s just not worth it,” Alyssa added.
Next, she moved on to incredibly detailed kitchen cabinets.
She said, “They add so many more nooks and crannies to hide dirt, dust and grease.”
Instead, she offered a basic white setup with plain white cabinets with no added detail before moving on to the third.
“Number three would be closets that don’t go all the way to the top,” the content creator explained, because going all the way to the top is a breeze.
The fourth feature on her list was backsplashes with small tiles and lots of grout, which Alyssa isn’t a fan of.
“Ground grout is a nuisance. It requires maintenance and resides in your kitchen. There will be a lot of debris and fat build up,” she said.
The dark-haired woman added that she would opt for a slab instead because it takes less work to keep clean.
Finally, she ended the video by expressing her distaste for “complicated lighting,” which refers to unique chandelier designs and fixtures.
Instead, she would recommend viewers to get recessed lighting, which she also has in her own living space.
Many people were grateful for her cleaning tips and advice.
“I knew I was growing up when, before I buy anything, the first thing I think about is how to clean it,” one commented.
“Just a reminder, if you’re willing to clean this and you really like it, she’s not saying not to buy it, just remember that cleaning is a hassle,” added another.

“It should become standard practice for developers to consult professional cleaners when choosing surface treatments,” agreed one viewer.
“I’m a housekeeper too, and those copper sinks are killing me! They are so much work and ruin my hands cleaning,” shared another.
