I’m a Ring doorbell expert and you must know what flashing white light means to keep your home safe

YOU have probably noticed that your Ring Doorbell lights up with all sorts of lights, and some are more important than deals.

Most of the time you’ll see blue, but if you see a white light you should check it as it could mean your Ring Doorbell isn’t working as you expect.

There are different types of flashes and hisses that the device displays.

If it’s a white light that toggles on and off then don’t worry as it’s just the doorbell updating internally.

The white light usually appears during setup, so you shouldn’t see it at any other time.

But if you see it, beware.

What does the blinking white light on the Ring Doorbell mean?

If you see the white light flashing at the top of the circle button, this indicates a failed setup.

This means the password is wrong.

This could happen if someone changed the WiFi password – or if you swapped out your broadband hub.

Without an internet connection to your Ring Doorbell, you can’t monitor who is outside your home.

If you find yourself in this situation, you need to go into the Ring app and reset each device’s connection.

You can do this by opening the app, selecting each device and going to Device Health.

Tap Change network.

If you see the white light flashing on the right, it means there was a connection error during setup.

And if the white light on the left is blinking, that indicates the setup didn’t work for some reason other than an incorrect password or ring network access point.

The best way to solve any of these problems is through the Ring app.

It will show you how to fix things.

And if all else fails, it might be worth completely resetting the device and adding it back to the app as if it were new.
