I’m a savvy shopper… the M&S bargains I swear by – it’s so much cheaper than you think

IF you want to cut costs and save money, Marks & Spencer isn’t necessarily the first place most people would shop at.
Known for their high-end goods and the catchphrase “this isn’t just food, this is M&S food” means many of us assume that shopping there is out of our price range.

But actually, you might be surprised.
Savvy shopper and M&S fan Polly Arrowsmith says: “Marks & Spencer’s often thinks it’s expensive, and for some goods that’s true.
“But you get what you pay for and they always have good deals too.”
Here she shares the affordable items she always buys from M&S…
Basic Bargains
In fact, if you need to go to the store for a pint of milk or a loaf of bread, Marks & Spencer is often the same price as other supermarkets for your everyday staples.
Polly says: “Items like eggs, milk and bread can be priced the same as Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.”
For example, four pints of M&S Select Farms British Semi Skimmed Milk cost £1.65 – the same price as the Sainsbury’s equivalent.
A loaf of M&S Super Soft White Thick Sliced Bread is in their ‘Super Savers’ range and costs 85p, while a Sainsbury’s loaf is the same and a Tesco loaf is a fraction cheaper at 80p.
