I’m a shopping expert – three things to always buy at Home Bargains and the ones to avoid

HOME Bargains is known for offering products at bargain prices across more than 500 UK stores.
But you may be wondering which items are best to buy and which ones to avoid when visiting the nearest branch.
To help you decipher the wheat from the husk, The Sun spoke to shopping expert Tom Church.
He runs the Latest Deals website that shares all the best deals offered between retailers to two million subscribers.
He recommends three items to always use and one to avoid to ensure you get the most for your money.
Remember, you should walk around before buying any product, even if you think it’s stolen.
You can use comparison tools on sites like pricepy.co.uk and latestdeals.co.uk.
Additionally, the Google Shopping tab is useful for comparing prices on several products.
Tom said: “If it’s cheaper at Home Bargains, that’s great. If not, it’s worth the money.”
Mrs Hinch cleaning products
Sophie Hinchcliffe shares home cleaning tips with her millions of Instagram followers through her mrshinchhome page.
Her recommendations are highly sought after as you can now find her products at retailers across the UK.
Tom says the first thing on your shopping list if you’re heading to the nearest Home Bargains should be her products.
“These products are not only extremely popular, but they are regularly discounted,” he said.
“For example, I recently saw Mrs Hinch Fairy Max Power Hand Sanitizer down from £3.99 to £2.99 and many more on offer.”
toy
Knowing where to buy your toys can be a logistical nightmare, but Tom says Home Bargains is a worthwhile option.
This retailer sells everything from outdoor toys and sports toys to dolls and play sets.
In addition, it often organizes sales events for these types of products.
“During their Star Buys events, you can find great deals on toys,” says Tom.
“I recently saw them selling water pistols for £3.99, water slides for £8.99 and archery sets for £8.99.
“These toys can make great gifts for kids and provide hours of entertainment during the summer months.”
party decoration
You might not think so, but Home Bargains can be a great place to pick up party decorations, especially for a wedding.
You can buy everything from sets of balloons to cake domes that flash with LED lights.
“You can find a wide variety of decorations at very affordable prices,” says Tom.
“For example, they have bridal scarves for 99p, confetti for 99p and cake stands for £1.69.”
He added: “With a price like this, you can easily add some special details to your wedding without spending too much.”
What to avoid
DVDs, electronics or perfumes
You can pick up DVDs, electronics and fragrances from Home Bargains.
However, it is worth noting that if the seals have been damaged, you cannot return them.
“You can’t return unsealed or unpacked DVDs, electronics or perfumes, as well as perishable goods such as food, confectionery and beverages,” says Tom.
In other news, a Home Bargains employee revealed the best time to shop at the retailer.

Additionally, shoppers have recently flocked to buy a household item on scan for just 99p instead of £20.
