“As a former teacher, this is the worst gift you can give a teacher,” she said.

“A Starbucks gift card left $4.27 (£3.32) on it.

“So that’s clearly a gift – don’t do it.”

Julie’s fans were divided over the parents’ strange gift choice.

Benjamin said, “Wow. The ingratitude is shown.

“I like how this is all about the teacher and not about the student which probably has nothing else to give.”

Teacher Dessy said: “I love getting hand-drawn cards, even if I can’t tell WTF it has to be.

“I just love that they think of me and do me something.

“Especially if they put a sticker on it and I know they’re a sticker kid.

“Those stickers are like gold for kids.”

It comes after a father fined £720 for taking his children on holiday says he has no regrets.
