I’m a travel expert – here’s exactly what to do if you lose your luggage
A TRAVEL expert has revealed a clever trick to avoid losing your luggage on air travel – or to find it again if necessary.
The top tip? If your luggage is lost, go straight to the baggage counter before the line gets too long.
The top priority is speed, according to Instagram travel account @familytravelcolleenkelly.
Travel blogger Colleen would like to help other travel fans.
She shared the video with her 11,500 followers explaining how to avoid airlines losing your luggage.
Colleen started by pointing out the best way to avoid lost bags in the first place.
She said: “Number 1 – put AirTags in your luggage. I didn’t do that this summer, so I couldn’t follow it myself.
“It’s really important. Don’t rely on the airline itself to track your luggage.”
She wants to discuss an easy way to find lost luggage after a flight: “Go straight to the baggage counter, which is right next to this airline’s baggage carousel.
“You want to get in line first. That’s kind of the only way they do it.”
Colleen stressed the importance of quickly resolving any issues, particularly any paperwork that airlines may need.
She stressed: “Do not leave the airport before you have completed the form that you are asked to fill out.”
Fans were keen to hear her advice, with one commenting: “Air tags!!! Yes!”
