One of the most obvious signs is when a dog wears its teeth and growls or growls.
He told his 214,000 followers on TikTok: “If a dog shows you his teeth, he’s probably not in a good mood and is warning you.
“Although sometimes they smile.”
Amir said two other signs are looking away and seeing the dog’s sclera.
He added: “If a dog doesn’t make eye contact with you, he may be anxious. Give him space.
“If you can clearly see the sclera (white part) of a dog’s eye, the dog is nervous.”
The last sign is when the hairs on a dog’s back stand up.
Amir said: “If the hair on the dog’s back is raised, it may be fearful or excited.
“Best keep your distance.”
An expert from animal rights group PDSA previously revealed the signs they say indicate a dog is about to attack.
These are: lick lips, lay ears flat back, yawn, “whale eyes” in a white crescent shape, face away, move away from another dog, crouch close to the ground.
If your pooch gets into a fight with another dog, don’t try to separate them or you could be seriously injured.
Dog bites should be washed under cold tap water for ten minutes even if your skin is not injured.
You should also see a doctor as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Amir also revealed the dog breeds to avoid if you want to avoid costly medical bills.
His list might surprise some dog lovers as it includes two family favorites.
At the top of the list was the American Bulldog, followed by the Bernese Mountain Dog, Rottweiler and the flat-nosed French Bulldog.
