I’m a young mom – I get dirty looks from other parents at school pick up and it bores me, people say I look ‘unreal’

Dressing up for the daily school run is the best part of a young mom’s day.

She dares to wear what gives her self-confidence, even when other parents throw evil looks in her direction.

On TikTok, 26-year-old Lauren Garford (@_sp00kybimb0) posts an alternative style about life as a vegetarian mom.

In a video, she responded to other parents judging her curated looks during daily schoolwork.

Dressed in an all pink ensemble with flawless makeup, Garford looked perfect.

Mixing patterns with ease, she layered a heart-print sweater over a graphic tee and floral pants.

With her blonde hair falling over one shoulder, Garford recorded a message for the judgmental parents.

“When the moms in padded coats glare at you at school drop-off/pick-up,” Garford wrote in the caption.

She lip-synced to the Lola Young song “Don’t Hate Me,” directing his message to the other moms in their comfy, clumsy coats.

“You said I was really fucking boring, well, that’s rich of you,” she mouthed, raising her eyebrows in disbelief.

Although her message was well-directed, Garford’s comments immediately gained sympathy from other moms.

“Hate the school run,” agreed one mom. “I stand as far away as possible. I like to think of myself as a school dad.”

“I get all moms running away with a dirty look,” lamented a mom with similar issues.

“That’s why I’m just there when I pick it up,” admitted a third parent. “Can’t handle them clapping.”

Some mothers who were members of the “puffy coat” club said they still faced strange judgmental behavior from adult bullies at their children’s schools.

“I have a sleeping bag coat but I have orange hair and tattoos and I can’t stand these moms,” revealed an alternative mom.

Some openly admitted to being jealous of Garford, although there was no ill will behind it.

“I wish I had the time and confidence to dress nicely for the morning school run,” said one weary mom.

But she would console herself about style any day.

“For me it’s jogging pants over pajama bottoms and hair pinned up,” said the resigned mother in a good mood.

A second mother agreed, encouraging Garford to take the mean mothers’ looks as expressions of admiration.

“When I look at you at the school run, I’m jealous that you made it on time and look amazing doing it,” she assured her.

“I would stare, I can’t lie,” said one honest woman. “With a smile because you look so great.”

“This outfit looks unreal,” agreed another mom, praising Garford’s impeccable taste.
