MONEY can buy many things, but style is not one of them, said one elegance coach.

The expert presented designer fashion items that do not enhance your look, but rather make them cheaper.

cherry (@velvetch3rry) shared the shopping advice with her TikTok followers.

She explained that some pieces could easily be mistaken for fakes and would kill a well put together outfit.

It started with a black Gucci bag, which she used as an example of things to avoid.

“This bag and all Gucci items with a big logo,” she said.

Next was a blue Goyard tote, which she should avoid due to the large number of duplicates on the market.

For similar reasons, the trainer said she would not personally buy the Dior Book Tote or the Louis Vuitton bags.

Though pearls are often seen as elegant, she recommended something other than a Vivienne Westwood pearl necklace as an accessory.

Last but not least, Louis Vuitton and Gucci belts were left off her list as she felt they were too “flashy”.
