I’m an expert mechanic with more than 55 years experience – here are 3 new electric cars I wouldn’t touch with 10ft pole

Scotty Kilmer, who has more than five million followers on YouTube, took to social media to explain the reasons he would never buy these electric vehicles.

He says the Tesla Model X, which costs around £80,000, is a boring, ugly looking car.

He revealed: “If I were driving this car, I would want the wings (doors) up in the air to make it look cool.”

“Well if you look in with the windows open and the doors open it’s cool and wide open I have to say.

“There is no door handle to get out and you have to press the button again but the button doesn’t work.

“I noticed something about these cars: They make their aerodynamics so that they go further and they are relatively low to the ground.”

“You’re not going to fly over speed bumps with these babies.”

The auto mechanic later explains why he doesn’t recommend buying a BMW i3 – which costs around £32,000.

Scotty said, “Although it has aerodynamic wheels, the tires are very thin, supposedly for better fuel economy.”

“Everything is made out of plastic or carbon fiber plastic so it weighs less and goes further.”

“I picked this car 25 miles away. The range is a whopping 31 miles, so let’s just say it’s not a practical car.”

“It’s also a very small car, which isn’t one of BMW’s customers. They want big SUVs and big luxury cars. I had a customer who bought a used car for just £20,000 because BMW customers didn’t want that car.”

At the end of the video, Scotty says he doesn’t like the Tesla Model 3.

He said: “It has very good acceleration, but this baby only has 270 hp, even though it’s electric.”

“In a model

“All the Teslas I’ve tried drive well on the freeway because they’re smooth, but when you get onto a bumpy road they don’t drive as well because you can feel the bumps in the road. It’s not particularly smooth, and you really hear them and feel them.

This comes after a car expert unveiled the top ten no-road-tax cars that could save you thousands.

Also, one woman shared how her neighbor was angry because she parked a bike in the grass while she was washing her car.
