I’m an interior design – if you have these in your house you need to go to jail & a loo seat faux pas deserves 5 years

AN interior designer has uncovered the home decor trends he says are so bad they should land you in jail for following them.
And there are plenty of competitors, according to Phoenix Grey, better known as “Design Daddy”.

Phoenix, who can be found on TikTok at @mrphoenixgrey, regularly shares his take on some of the hottest trends in home decor.
And he didn’t hold back in his latest post as he blew up everything from using smaller jars for decoration to a choice of toilet seat that he felt was unforgivable.
The interior designer uploaded a video titled, “Decorative Items I’ll Send You To Jail For.”
Then he started his list of sins with a popular homewares brand that started way back in 1995 and still has fans two decades later.
He explained: “Start strong with the life sentence – you know what it is… Rae Dunn decor.
“These whimsical decorative items are literally iconic and polarizing so much.
“You either love her or absolutely loathe her.”
Design Daddy then shared which side of the fence he was sitting on when it came to the decorating debate when he slammed the idea.
He revealed, “There will be no trial for this — straight to jail.”
Phoenix has similarly strong views on another trend he’s noticed making a slow comeback — the crocheted toilet paper holder.
He went on to tell his 709,000+ followers that he was referring to all types, but “especially the ones with the doll.”
Design Daddy then said if you choose to put these in your bathroom you should be “sent to a ward” and not be able to go for crimes against decor.
He added, tongue tight against his cheek, “Nobody – and I mean absolutely nobody – wants to make eye contact with a thing like that when they’re sitting on the toilet.”
This observation quickly led to Design Daddy’s next big no-go.
He continued: “Speaking of bathrooms, I’m going to sentence you to five years if you have the right carpet and toilet seat cover that just collects bacteria.
“These are so out of date and I’ve seen them coming back so please please please don’t do that.”
He then stressed for further impact: “Honestly, DO NOT put these in your bathroom.
“This is a petri dish for bacterial growth.”
Design Daddy then issued a warning before the last error he saw.
He concluded: “During the court session, the final decision today is a mason jar decor.

“Like I said, not everything needs to be upcycled and this DIY trend is so wild because you can’t just have one – you need the entire matching kit.
“I’ll just let you get away with this one as I know it can be a really affordable thing so I’ll give you five years but you can get parole with good behavior.”
