I’m an interior designer – furniture that’s not worth your money, including a table that’s a nightmare to live with

An interior designer has unveiled the three pieces of furniture that aren’t worth the money, including the coffee table style that’s a nightmare to live with.
Jordan recommends avoiding backless stools and feather-filled sofas if you’re looking for pieces that are both stylish and comfortable.
He also shared the various reasons why he never recommends a glass coffee table to his customers.
Known online as @jordansamsondesignHe regularly shares furnishing tips with his 76,300 followers.
In a new TikTok reel, he said: “Furniture isn’t worth the money.
“First and foremost are the bar stools without a backrest.
“For many people, the kitchen island often becomes the central hub for eating and working.
“If that’s you and you don’t want to hunch through your meals or work days like a hunchback, it’s worth investing in a stool with a proper backrest.”
Next on his list of pieces to avoid are sofas that are completely stuffed with feathers.
He continued, “I’m not saying they’re not comfortable, but I speak from personal experience and feel it my duty to issue an annual warning.”
Sharing a picture of a crushed sofa, he added, “You’re going to puff yourself up and stab yourself with feathers every day, and 80 percent of the time it’s going to look like it.”
“Now let’s talk about glass furniture.
“It looks sleek, but comes with the hidden cost of constant fingerprint and smudge cleaning.
“For safety reasons, this is also not a good option for children or pets. I actually broke a glass door as a kid, and I imagine a coffee table might be even easier to break.”
Fans loved his quick tips, and Jordan’s list garnered more than 2,700 likes and 39,200 views.
In the comments, TikToker shared their thoughts, with one writing: “Glass topped tables are very important to me. I rented a place with a glass dining table and the stains were driving me insane.”
“Backrest stool = gamechanger,” commented another.
A third added: “Preaching.”

While not everyone agreed, another added: “On the other hand, glass tables also have the benefit of being extremely stain resistant. Even nail polish comes off with a little acetone.”
Someone else said, “I’ve always had glass dining and/or coffee tables and LOVE these! Waterproof and opens up the space.”
