“If you want the space to scream that I’m the Kim Kardashian of the family, the soft gray is your pick,” he says.

“Make sure you’re choosing the right tones for your grays, some cooler grays and some warmer grays.”

“Always match your floor, unless your floor is gray, then burn your king’s house,” he joked.

The other two colors that the designer recommends are jade tones, which he says add warmth, and white without deep tones.

People took to the comments section to share their thoughts on his tips.

Some disagreed with his advice: “I refuse to have any gray in my life!” one commenter.

“Mine is white but also pale pink and has a bit of a gamer girl vibe because I have a childhood wound that won’t heal,” another joked.

“There’s no gray here, I just like white,” said the third.

“You’re awesome, I just love your stuff.”

“No because my room is a subdued gray,” said the fourth.

“I knew it was a good choice when I chose it eight years ago.”
