A STYLISH mum was left disappointed after an affordable purchase from Amazon failed to meet her expectations.
She was eager to try the body-shaping dress after seeing fashionistas rave about it online.
Lacey Johnson (@ldmadison) has attracted nearly 28,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares her life as a glamorous mother of three.
She took to social media after ordering a floor-length pink dress from Amazon.
She didn’t share a link to the exact gown, but an almost identical style is currently listed on the site for $29.
“I just bought this dress from Amazon and I bought it because I saw another creator talking about it and saying it was amazing,” Lacey said.
“So I was expecting the same thing when I got it.
“Guys, this dress is completely see-through and I have to take my underwear off because all you can see is my underwear.
“The quality lies in the very thin T-shirt material.
“I mean I don’t even know what kind of bra you’ll have to wear with this on.”
Lacey adjusted the dress to show how if she wore it it would fit over her bra because of the low cut.
She explained that she was wearing a bra specifically designed for a square neckline as she pulled up the excess fabric to cover her breasts.
The stylish mom posed from various angles as she continued to complain about her “skimpy dress that failed”.
“I’m very excited about it,” Lacey said. “I mean, it’s cute but completely see-through.
“It’s just that the material was very cheap and she blew it up.
“I’m not going to lie to you all and say it’s great because it’s not.”
More than 4,000 people viewed the video and it received hundreds of likes from people who were grateful for her honest review.
“If it doesn’t look good on you, it won’t look good on anyone else!” one person commented.
“Used it as a swimsuit to cover the girl, laugh out loud,” another joked.
“Girl, you have to buy a Skims!! I have both gray and black. I’m haunted!” said a third.
“I will definitely do that!! I’m glad to hear you love Skims,” Lacey replied.
Skimming The long-sleeved slip dress is surprisingly expensive compared to the Amazon dupe at $128.
