I’m plus-size and tried Kim Kardashian’s Skims shapewear – it has a weird hole but the outfit makes me look snatched

SKIMS shapewear has a reputation for not looking great at first, but then for amazing results.

One plus-size influencer put the two-item collection to the test and was delighted with what she found, although she did find a hole that looked a bit off.

Bonnie Wyrick is a size 16 style influencer on TikTok.

She posted a video reviewing Skim’s $34 Sculpting Short Mid-Thigh W/Open Gusset.

“I don’t know how to fit all this jelly in there, but I’ve seen it work. I wear size 2x-3x and I suggest going up a size if you want a more comfortable everyday feel,” says Bonny.

Bonnie is 5’7″ and weighs 235 pounds.

As she struggles to put on the shorts, Bonnie notices a surprising addition to the shapewear.

“I thought I ripped it, but there’s a hole,” she admits.

There is a hole between the pant legs for peeing.

However, the SKIMS website does not include this part in the description or reviews.

Bonnie concludes by saying, “Okay, it took me a minute because it’s tiny, but it works. But the best part is that it doesn’t squeeze me where I feel like I can’t breathe.”

The material and fit are comfortable enough to be worn all day.

It’s important for Bonnie to feel confident and snapped, but she doesn’t want to sacrifice her comfort for that.

She pulls her long dress over the shorts and they are invisible underneath.

Next, Bonnie tries the $52 Barely There Shapewear Low Back Shorts.

This material is a combination of polyamide and lycra spandex.

Bonnie explains that this pair of shapewear shorts was easier to put on.

“These, I would say, are smoother in the thigh where that compression and support in the abdomen is the majority,” she says.

When the dress is pulled on, you can see how the low back of the shorts prevents excess fabric from showing.

Bonnie admits that this option is breathable, comfortable and more natural.

“I think if you want one super snapping support, do the other one. If you’re looking for more tummy control and a little bit of sculpting, this is it,” she says.

A viewer warns others about the dangers of wearing shapewear for too long.

“Be careful. In fact, there have long been health warnings about wearing shapewear. Please check online,” they commented.

Another viewer asked, “How does it wear in this HEAT?”

Bonnie replied, “I would choose the second option if it’s insanely hot, but honestly the fabrics are so soft and comfortable!”
