I’m plus-size with 40D boobs & tried the viral ‘strapless’ bra hack – it kind of works but only in desperate situations

A BUSTY fashion influencer put a viral fashion hack to the test to see how it works for a plus size lady.

The hack promises to transform any bra into a strapless look with just a few twists, but the influencer won’t use it often.

Fashion blogger Danyelle Miller (@danyelleeee) has a dedicated audience that turns to her for plus size style advice.

In one video, Miller decided to try the latest viral hack and repurpose her everyday bra into a strapless style.

She captioned the video, “Try this viral strapless hack on a plus-size body,” and included a note to let viewers know she’d be using a 40D bra in her attempt.

Miller started with the right foot. Following the viral hack’s instructions, Miller donned her regular bra, then crossed a strap over her body.

She grimaced and raised her eyebrows to show her skepticism, but kept going. Miller managed to get the first strap in place, and the hack seemed to work briefly.

Then she had to put the second strap criss-cross over her body. It was obviously difficult to tangle and snap back to its original position.

Miller laughed at herself as she almost got stuck, but eventually she successfully pulled the strap over her shoulder.

“Hmm okay,” she wrote of the footage of the difficult transition.

Once the straps were over her body, Miller went to work trying to get them in place.

“Okay, adjustment,” she wrote over the video. After struggling a little, she adjusted again.

The end result was a strapless look, just like the viral videos about the hack — but Miller wasn’t impressed.

The now strapless bra offered partial coverage but didn’t seem secure, and Miller kept having to slide the bra into place.

“I don’t know, friends,” wrote an unimpressed Miller.

“I would just wear a strapless. More coverage and more comfortable.”

To demonstrate the difference, Miller pulled out her own favorite strapless bra and slipped it on. Unlike the viral hack version, Miller’s real strapless bra fit her perfectly and stayed in place when she moved.

A commenter on the video said that while the hack technically worked, it was not plus-size friendly.

“Yeah, I wouldn’t say that,” Miller replied.

In a follow-up comment, Miller added that the style was a lot of work and she would only use it “in a pinch.”

Miller tried to imagine scenarios in which she would ever need the uncomfortable hack and came up with a situation that felt just right for her.

“Only on vacation when I forgot a strapless,” she wrote.
