Ime Udoka released a statement apologizing after being suspended for a year by the Celtics.
Udoka was suspended for the entire 2022-23 season for “violating team policy”. He was allegedly involved in an “inappropriate” consensual relationship with a female member of the team.
“I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization and my family for letting them down,” said Udoka. “I’m sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will not comment further.”
Udoka’s alleged side act hasn’t been publicly named, but Media Take Out learned the woman is NOT Vice President of Player Development and Organizational Growth Allison Feaster. She doesn’t interfere at all.
Udoka spent 10 years as an assistant before coming to Boston. He then led the Celtics to a 51-31 record and their first NBA Finals appearance. He is engaged to Hollywood actress Nia Long and the two have one child together.
