In the new “Succession” trailer, Roy Kids take on their father Logan

If your dad had cheated on you and your siblings (yet again), you probably wouldn’t want to take a call from him — or his assistant — either.

The Roy kids take Logan Roy’s betrayal in the Season 3 finale to heart and refuse to reconcile with the cutting patriarch of the media family (Brian Cox) in the new teaser trailer for HBOMax’s Emmy-winning drama “Succession.”

The trailer, which aired on Thursday, sees Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Shiv (Sarah Snook) forming a united front against their father, who we last saw signing a divorce settlement with his ex overworked woman who forced the multi-billion dollar heir out of her shares in the Waystar Royco family business. We also see Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfayden) caught in the crossfire he helped organize, trying to figure out where he stands in the pecking order after ratting on his wife Shiv to gain Logan’s favor.

“We’ll always be good, right?” he seriously asks his cryptic father-in-law.

“When we’re good, we’re good,” Logan replies. And while he so often says he’s “encouraged,” dear, awkward, and scheming Tom definitely isn’t.

As for the Logan siblings, Kendall likens his recent showdown with his father to “walking a tightrope on a razor…500 feet of reputation loss.”

“Why does that make you smile? That shouldn’t make you smile,” Roman replies. “Who likes to dance on a tightrope?”

And the answer to that is Succession viewers, who will be able to catch Season 4 when it debuts March 26 on HBOMax.
