Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – We’re in for another hot and humid day with highs near 90. Heat index values reach mid-over 90, so try to stay hydrated!
There will be some showers this afternoon and they will drift inland by evening. Overall, the chance of rain today is only 20%.
Tropical moisture spreads northward across the state tonight and we could see some scattered showers tomorrow morning. The chance of rain increases to 60% tomorrow afternoon and possibly downpours.
Showers continued through Friday night and Saturday morning. Although it won’t rain all day on Saturday, storms are possible. In fact, if you add up the potential rainfall over the next three days, some areas could go up to 3-5 inches. That won’t be the case for the entire Tampa Bay area, but we’ll be on the lookout for some possible downpours in spots.
It remains dismal with 80s highs on for Friday and the weekend. Next week, it looks like we’re firmly in our summer rain pattern. Every day there is a 40% chance of storm occurrence in the afternoon and evening with the highest level near 90.
