Inside Cardi B’s face and body transformation, see the rapper’s changing look throughout the years

BEFORE she became a world-famous rapper known for her chart-topping hits, Cardi B was a professional dancer turned reality star.
As her career and fame have changed over the years, so has her appearance.
2016
Although Cardi had already gained some popularity through her eye-catching Instagram videos, it wasn’t until 2016 that she made her red carpet debut as a reality TV star.
This year, the aspiring rapper appeared on the show Love & Hip Hop: New York.
Speaking of show with The post In 2016, she said: “I didn’t really want to talk about my whole life on TV, but it was a great opportunity.”
“I am very surprised by the feedback I got. I was just being myself.”
Although her face looked very different than what we know today, her curvaceous body had already left its mark, and for good reason: two years earlier, she had received her first butt augmentations and a breast job.
In an interview with GQShe told the wild story of how she paid $800 to get butt injections in a basement in Queens, New York, so she could make more money as a stripper.
“It was the craziest pain ever. I felt like I was going to faint. I felt a little dizzy. And it leaks for about five days.”
2017
In 2017, Cardi catapulted herself to mainstream stardom when she released her hit single Bodak Yellow.
In this song, the A-lister revealed her latest beauty procedure: veneers.
The text that sent dozens of people heading to Cardi’s dentist, Dr. Catrise Austin to run reads: “I got a bag and fixed my teeth, I hope you hoes know it ain’t cheap.”
Cardi explained her reasons for the procedure on the radio show The Breakfast Club: “I know I’m going to be on TV more and more and I know they don’t look right, and then I got a little tired… I felt like I was being bullied.”
She also rocked bleach blonde locks – a contrast to her darker hair in previous press appearances.
2018
Cardi added a new experience to her resume in 2018: mom.
She and her husband Offset gave birth to their daughter Kulture in July of that year.
After going through pregnancy and witnessing all the changes to her body, she revealed in an Instagram Live that she was planning to go under the knife.
“I still have a lot of love handles here. “It’s not many, but I’m used to having a really tight stomach,” she emphasized.
“Maybe I’ll just get a little lipo,” she said, noting that she’s “never been the type” to work out.
2019
Almost a year after giving birth, Cardi admitted that she had put her plan to undergo liposuction into action.
And she also had a breast enlargement.
At the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, she told the audience, “I have news for all of you.
“I actually shouldn’t perform because if I move too much my lipo will break. But damn, I’m still going to grab my damn wallet, let’s go!”
The breast correction was the result of her desire to feel better about her body, as she said in an interview with AND.
“I just had my breasts replaced.
“I feel good, but sometimes I feel like I’m not, you know? [When] Your skin is tense.
“Yeah, my daughter messed me up,” she joked.
The artist noted that the surgeries prevented her from doing her best work in the film “Hustlers,” in which she was able to regain her skills as a pole dancer.
That year, she also had a non-surgical nose job with fillers, as she discussed in an interview in 2023.
“I had my nose filled in 2019. And that shit ruined my nose,” she said revolt.
“But fillers made my nose longer, the tip of my nose got longer and it got wider.”
2020
Unsatisfied with the appearance of her nose filler, she had a rhinoplasty in 2020, as she revealed in the same interview with Revolt in 2023.
“No matter how hard I tried to take the fillers out, it just ruined my tip, so in 2020, after ‘WAP,’ I just got my nose done,” she said.
The superstar also started rocking a more glamorous diva look – highlighting her fashion and hairstyles.
2021
In 2021, Cardi continued her meteoric rise when she released Up.
This year she spoke to Mariah Carrey Interview magazine about her decision to undergo cosmetic surgery.
“When I was younger, I was really skinny, and in the Bronx [where I grew up]“It’s about being fat and having an ass,” she said.
“So young boys would say, ‘Look at your apartment, asshole.’ You don’t have any shit.’ And it would make me feel so ugly and undeveloped.”
She also gave birth to her son with Offset that year.
2022
Although the chart-topper has become synonymous with a voluptuous butt, she had her butt injections removed in 2022.
She accepted it Instagram Live to recount the seemingly painful procedure that removed 95% of her implants.
“It’s been a really crazy process,” she said, urging fans to reconsider the injections.
“I’m just saying, when you’re young, when you’re 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you’re too skinny, you think, ‘Oh my God, I don’t have enough fat to put it on.’ My ass, so the result is ass shots, shit, don’t fucking do it!”
That same year, she stunned at the Met Gala in a high-fashion Atelier Versace look that accentuated her shapely figure.
2023
This year, the only plastic surgeries and cosmetic procedures Cardi B has admitted to are still butt injections, breast augmentations, liposuction and a nose job.
After she looked even more ripped than before on the red carpets, rumors of a facelift began circulating, but Cardi never addressed it.
Still, she upped the ante in 2023, refining her hair and contouring makeup while rocking couture looks.
