Inside Charlie Mullins’ fleet of Pimlico Plumbers work vans with personalised number plates worth £1.5million

THE Founder of Pimlico Plumbers has a fleet of vans with personalized number plates – valued at over £1.5million.
Charlie Mullins – known for his blonde Rod Stewart-style beard – has cleverly invested in the scripted signs to get people talking about the plumbing empire.
Pimlico Plumbers has the largest collection of plumbing number plates in the world – worth around £1.5million – with Mullins sourcing a new bespoke number plate once or twice a month.
It came after the self-made millionaire managed to leave his £450,000 Rolls-Royce hanging from a bollard.
While trying to give way to the other car, Charlie didn’t notice the obstacle and drove over it, revealing his personalized “CII4RLE” license plate as amused pedestrians walked by.
The expensive engine then had to be removed with a tow truck.
The wealthy Mullins had assembled a range of engines with personalized signs during his tenure as Prime Minister – even spending a staggering £35,000 on the ‘CA11 OUT’ sign at one point.
Other nifty cross creations include MET3R, BAS 1N, 51 NKS, and DRA 1N.
Mullins left school without a degree at 15, did an apprenticeship and founded Pimlico Plumbers in 1979 in the basement of a real estate agent.
He sold Pimlico Plumbers last year and is currently pursuing a career as a media personality.
The entrepreneur recently completed a pilot episode for the show Naked Millionaire, in which he must build a business from the ground up.
It comes after a man revealed he makes over £200,000 a year from a job others balk at.
Stephen Fry, 34, lives in the millionaire district of Kensington in west London and even takes luxury holidays to the Maldives.
