Behind-the-scenes photos last week showed the cast filming their funeral after Lola was played Danielle Haraldlost her fight with brain tumor.

Dannielle said: “Lola’s story was a very difficult one to tell and one that saddens so many people.

“Brain tumors kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, but historically only 1% of research is devoted to this devastating disease.

“I would like to take a moment for everyone who has reached out and shared their experiences with me. I have read every message and carry all your messages close to my heart as I act out this story.

“I’ve been fortunate to meet the most incredible people and have worked with some wonderful charities along the way and I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support, advice and love.”

Last year it was announced that Danielle was leaving the role and Lola would be killed in the devastating storyline.

And fans realized she was likely losing her battle with cancer when they spotted her photo framed behind the bar the Queen Vic during the shock flash-forward scenes in February — an honor bestowed on Walford’s dead.

The scenes are scheduled to air soon.
