Inside Kia’s insane advert for its EV9 SUV that sees supermodel Jodie Kidd zapped with ONE MILLION volts of electricity

HERE is Jodie Kidd as you’ve never seen her – directing ONE MILLION VOLTS with her fingers.
The British model has hosted campaigns for all major fashion and perfume brands over the years.
But she’s never been asked to don a steel mesh onesie and be powered.
Fair play.
If the awesome stunt had gone just a little wrong, she risked getting roasted like that cat at Clark Griswold’s family Christmas.
Or Marv in the basement in Home Alone 2.
Car fanatic Jodie donned the Faraday suit to shoot an ad for Kia’s EV9, the first seven-seat electric SUV.
She said: “Do I have to write my will? Oh dear God. It’s going to be great, but right now I’m terrified.”
Obviously everything worked out well in the end, otherwise you would read a very different story on the front page of this newspaper.
Jodie said after being electrocuted: “Wow. That was pretty crazy.
“When you sit on the platform, the chain mail is so tight against your face. I just stared at the camera and just walked away. . . ‘Breathe, breathe, breathe’.”
After a quick costume, hair and makeup change, Jodie then posed for a second photoshoot with the EV9.
Computer experts stitched the two images together to create the hero photo you see here.
Jodie said: “I was really nervous this morning. But the final picture will be crazy.”
It definitely is.
Kia has confirmed that the bountiful, long-range, fast-charging EV9 will be available at £65,000.
A lot of money.
Still, it’s not a lot of money considering the cheapest Volvo EX90 will cost over £85,000.
The Range Rover EV will cost almost twice as much in 2025.

They know how to charge.
Kia is more mainstream.
