Inside Strictly’s stunning home of Amanda Abbington, who she shares with Britain’s Got Talent star fiancé

STRICTLY star Amanda Abbington is preparing for her dance debut on the BBC One show – but away from the cameras she has the perfect home to kick back and relax.
The 49-year-old actress walked into the dance studio alongside 14 other celebrities this week.
After a hard workout, the Mr. Selfridge star has the perfect surface to relax on and soak those sore feet.
The Sherlock actress showcased her whimsical home.
Her dining room is decorated in burgundy tones and adorned with animal-themed paintings.
The room also features an old-fashioned fireplace, a wooden dining table, and various decorations, such as a model of the Colosseum.
The TV star gave fans a glimpse of her living room, which features green walls, wooden patio doors and a floral-patterned sofa.
Amanda showed a snap of the fireplace with a gold mirror above it and a bookshelf next to it.
The star also shared a video about a second living room with huge patio doors that allow in lots of natural light, a flat-screen TV and more artwork.
After it was revealed that the actress was part of the Strictly 2023 cast, Amanda said, “I’m thrilled to have been asked to join Strictly.
“Actually, I’m very shy and self-confident, so this is a great opportunity for me to overcome those things!”
“I can also learn to dance, which makes me incredibly happy. I’m also really looking forward to training, I’m quite competitive as my family and friends will tell you. I can’t wait to get started on this!”
Amanda split from 51-year-old actor Martin Freeman – the father of her two children – in 2016.
She began a romance with escape artist Jonathan Goodwin, 42, who was left paralyzed in 2021 after a stunt on America’s Got Talent: Extreme went awry.
From 2014 to 2017 Amanda played Mary Morstan in the BBC1 series Sherlock.
She was the wife of Martin’s Dr. Watson, the sidekick of super detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
She first expressed her desire to join Strictly in 2010, although she has generally been reluctant to appear on reality TV.
She said: “The only thing I would like to do is Strictly Come Dancing.
“I love the idea of learning something.”
She joked: “This is an official application.
“But I’m sure it would be my undoing if I was there.
“Amanda Abbington’s curse strikes again!”
Amanda played the role of Miss Mardle on Mr. Selfridge from 2013 to 2016.
She is also famous for her role as Mary Morstan, wife of John Watson, played by her ex-partner Martin Freeman, in Sherlock.

Until 2007, she played various characters in the police drama The Bill.
During this time she also appeared in Wycliffe, Casualty, Dream Team, The Sins, Shades, Doc Martin, Coupling, and Teachers.
