Insider’s guide to Majorca ahead of new Love Island season – what to do and where to stay

THERE are many reasons why Mallorca remains one of the most popular holiday hotspots for Britons.
With more than 300 days of sunshine, hundreds of beaches and stunning resorts to stay in, it’s easy to see why British holidaymakers flock there in droves every year.
And with the hotspot returning to our TV screens in the run-up to the new season of Love Island, we’ve rounded up all the great things to do on the island and the best places to stay courtesy of Travel Republic.
beach clubs
A visit to Mallorca is not complete without a cheeky poolside cocktail.
One of the oldest beach clubs on the island is Beach Club Gran Folies, which opened more than 40 years ago but has obviously undergone renovations since then.
But you don’t lack for choice.
There’s Oean’s Beach Club, which hosts some of the biggest pool parties, or Anima Beach Club, which boasts some of the most beautiful oceanfront sunsets.
The world famous Nikki Beach is ideal for celebrity spotting. If you’re looking for a new place to party, check out the Cotton Clubs, which opened last summer.
activities
If you’re in the mood for some culture, then you’ll find it in abundance in the capital, Palma de Mallorca.
In addition to bars and restaurants, it also houses the Catedral de Mallorca, remodeled by the famous architect Gaudi more than 100 years ago.

Adventure seekers will also find plenty of activities on the Spanish island.
You can opt for a boat trip where you can have a drink, snorkel and paddle on a private yacht, or test your nerve with quad bike tours, cliff jumping and jet ski excursions.
