Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – You’ll feel the heat and humidity again today. Highs reach 90s lows with heat index values in the 90s above to close to 100.
Most of the day is a mix of sunshine and clouds, but a few minor storms are expected later today. Chances of rain are up to 30% and some storms will hit the coast at midnight. The overnight low will be in the mid-70s, above average.
A similar setup played out on Wednesday with low 90s highs and a chance of a hurricane later in the day. The chance of rain increases to 40% on Thursday, and rain and cloud cover will be higher in the afternoon.
Additional clouds help keep the altitude close to 90 degrees in the afternoon. With a higher chance of rain on Friday (60%), peak temperatures in the afternoon will be in the upper 80s.
We forecast more showers on Saturday. Chances of rain are 50%, but it won’t rain all day. The highest temperature stays near 90 degrees throughout the first part of next week.
