Ioan Gruffudd accuses ex-wife Alice Evans of “child abuse” after her daughter Ella, 13, issued a restraining order
IOAN Gruffudd has accused his ex-wife Alice Evans of “child abuse” after their 13-year-old daughter Ella issued a restraining order.
The couple have a bitter custody battle over Ella and her nine-year-old sister, Elsie.

Court documents were viewed in Los Angeles postIoan, 49, said: “Alice has continued to cause serious emotional damage to Ella and Elsie through her statements and through her interference in my relationship with them.”
“Alice has been berating and undermining me in front of the girls her whole life.
“Since January 2021, Alice has also encouraged and instructed her not to see or communicate with me.
“She sent thousands of threatening and abusive messages to and about me.”
Hollywood star Ioan obtained a restraining order against 55-year-old Alice last August.
He now claims that “Alice repeatedly violated the restraining order and continues to do so to this day.”
Ioan slammed Alice for allegedly getting Ella to get her own restraining order against him – and for stopping her two daughters from going to therapy.
The actor said, “Although there is an order for the girls to go to therapy, Alice has repeatedly either refused to bring the girls or has prevented me from taking the girls to therapy.”
“Since the breakup, the girls have missed more therapy sessions than they have attended and have had multiple therapists.”
“I believe Alice’s actions constitute child abuse and I am deeply concerned for our children.”
Alice denies abusing or hurting her daughters.
Ioan has the option to call the kids freely but for some reason hasn’t done so

She claimed that Ioan “didn’t see or follow the children or call them for 11 weeks.”
Alice said: “I do not agree that the children and ourselves should be subjected to a lengthy and costly custody review if it is based on speculation and conjecture on the part of the applicant.”
“The petitioner states that he believes that the children will suffer serious emotional damage, but has no evidence that our girls showed any symptoms to support these allegations.”
“The plaintiff has his visiting schedule and ability to call the children freely, but for some reason has not done so.”
“Given his silence and lack of effort to develop a relationship with the children, I do not believe the petitioner has demonstrated the need or urgency of appointing a custody assessor.”
The feuding couple met while starring in the 2000 Disney film 101 Dalmatians.
Ioan filed for divorce in March 2021 after Alice took to social media to claim he had let down the family.
Their divorce was finalized last month and Ioan is now dating 31-year-old Bianca Wallace.
