Former Australian cricketer Lisa Sthalekar is concerned about the inconsistent SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) batting formation ahead of their match against the Mumbai Indians (MI).
SRH has lost the last 5 matches by a margin and must win the last 2 matches by a large margin to have a chance to qualify for the IPL 2022 knockout round. Sthalekar believes captain Kane’s poor form Williamson is one of the main reasons why sexual and reproductive health is no longer charming.
Speaking to Cricbuzz, Sthalekar explained why she felt the SunRisers wouldn’t be able to win both of their remaining matches. She speaks:
“The last two games they scored 120 odd points. You won’t win many games with that score whether you hit first or chase.”
“Running at the top, Kane Williamson, you just want him to do well. A world-class player like him, you want him to show his ability. He didn’t make it to the tournament. That’s it. That’s why it’s tough for me to see how they can win their last two games.”
The 42-year-old also highlighted how Hyderabad has been affected by the absence of their key players such as Washington Sundar and T Natarajan. Stalekar added:
“They certainly missed Washington Sundar and Natarajan in their injury period. But those are runs, they have to score.”
Kane Williamson May Be Like Mayank Agarwal For SRH: Lisa Sthalekar
Lisa Sthalekar thinks Williamson could downgrade himself to command just like Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal did to get the most out of Jonny Bairstow. She feels players like Rahul Tripathi can make better use of power play and the SRH captain should consider becoming a celebrity. She stated:
“I think he (Williamson) will start to slide, won’t he (if he doesn’t open). Maybe he can come on if they lose early. But if they have a good start he can be like Mayank Agarwal.”
Sthalekar also spoke about the constant cuts and changes that have not helped the SunRisers’ career. She added:
“They were hoping that Abdul Samad would be the finisher for them. But he didn’t get the job done and that’s why they cut back and changed a lot.”
With MI having nothing to lose, Hyderabad is likely to face a tough match against the five-time IPL champion tonight (May 17).
