IPL 2022: “Miller and Tewatia won’t save you every time”

Former Indian athlete Aakash Chopra is concerned about the batting problem in the Gujarat Titans (GT) camp. Their openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill are in fine form, but their midfield order is inconsistent according to the 44-year-old.

David Miller and Rahul Tewatia have simply thrilled GT this season and have helped them chase the total from unlikely situations. However, Chopra emphasized that their loss to the Mumbai Indians in the last match showed that they cannot rely too much on the duo.

Speaking in a video on his YouTube channel, here’s what Aakash Chopra had to say while previewing the GT’s clash with the Lucknow Giants (LSG) tonight:

“Gujarat has been bowling very well. But their batting has problems. Whenever Gill scores, their batting looks good. But now it’s Saha who is looking for cracks. on their batting path.”

He added:

“Hardik’s [Pandya] form had a late decline. Had he not been exhausted in the final game, they would have won and should have won. Miller and Tewatia won’t be able to rescue you all the time. “

“The team that hits first is likely to win the game” – Aakash Chopra

LSG and GT have arguably the two best bowling hits in the league. In particular, the former player defended some of their totals brilliantly and the GT also had a lot of firepower with the ball.

This is probably why Aakash Chopra feels that winning the pitch and hit first would be the ideal decision for both teams. He stated:

“The bowlers are going to dominate this game as both teams have great bowling hits. On one end, there’s [Mohammed] Shami, [Lockie] Ferguson, [Alzarri] Joseph, [Pradeep] Sangwan and Rashid [Khan]. At the other end there is Mohsin [Khan]Avesh [Khan], [Dushmantha] chameera, [Jason] Owner, [Ravi] Bishnoi, [Marcus] Stoinis, Krunal [Pandya]. “

Chopra concludes:

“The first team to hit the ball is likely to win the game because both bowling attacks won’t let the batter chase the target easily.”

Both LSG and GT want to win the game as the winning team will become the first team to qualify for the IPL 2022 knockout.
