Iran Oil Workers Strike as Antigovernment Protests Expand

Workers at a petrochemical complex in southern Iran went on strike on Monday, the latest sign that the fourth week of anti-government protests are expanding into key sectors of the economy economic.

Dozens of workers blocked roads and protested at a factory in Assaluyeh in the oil-rich Bushehr province on the Persian Gulf, chanting “Don’t be afraid. We stand together” and “Death before the dictator”, according to social media posts.
