“It’s 111 degrees in Northern California,” said a sweating Alicia.

But not for long, as she covered her windows with reflective material.

“Okay, I put foil on my window,” she explained.

To prove it worked, she placed a thermometer next to the covered jar and read the real-time temperature.

It was a comfortable 91.3 degrees (32 degrees Celsius): “That’s the inside temperature.”

Alicia then removed the foil to demonstrate how hot it would be without that protective filter.

When the thermometer was placed next to the uncovered widow, the mercury rose, reaching 102 degrees (38 degrees Celsius).

“Is not that crazy? “The foil helps,” she said. “Helpful tip for braving the heat.”
