It’s a girl! Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy welcome their third baby
Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy are expanding their family: the latest addition is a little girl.
The Hollywood couple welcomed their third child together, a rep confirmed to The Times on Tuesday. The newborn’s name and date of birth were not released.
Paparazzi spotted 44-year-old Danes and 48-year-old Dancy pushing a stroller in New York on Monday.
The news that the Fleishman Is in Trouble and Law & Order stars were pregnant broke in January. At the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, Danes told “Entertainment Tonight” that her third pregnancy “wasn’t what I expected — but we’re thrilled.”
Weeks later, Dancy appeared on the show Today to promote his work on Law & Order and to talk about the upcoming baby.
“You have little baby news, expecting baby #3?” Al Roker asked Dancy while his co-hosts congratulated the actor.
“That’s right, thanks,” Dancy replied. The “Hannibal” actor said his other two children with Danes, Rowan, four, and Cyrus, ten, had “mixed feelings.”
“They’re excited about ‘our baby,’ that’s good,” he said, adding that his sons would help with the birth of the newborn except for diaper chores.
Danes and Dancy began dating after meeting on the set of in 2006 Lajos Koltai’s drama “Evening”. The film also starred Meryl Streep, Toni Collette, Glenn Close, Patrick Wilson and Natasha Richardson.
The couple married in 2009. They had baby Cyrus in December 2012 and Rowan six years later.
